Stepping Out

It’s great to be back writing this blog! The last two and a bit months have been filled with worry and disbelief at the growing global pandemic. Writing about things that interest me seemed impossible due to my personal stake in the fight against Covid-19. With family members on the frontlines and friends struck by the illness and its aftermath, it was a lot to process in a very short space of time. Though the danger is still very present, I can see a light at the end of the tunnel as we settle into a new way of life (hopefully temporarily).

That way of life will involve stepping out of our homes for work, shopping etc. and to stay safe, it is recommended to follow the CDC guidelines which include using cloth face coverings. This is a "fashion" statement none of us thought we'd ever be making but one that will potentially be part of our new normal for a while to come.

Nancy Pelosi, the Leader of the House majority and President Zuzana Čaputová have led from the front with the use of color coordinated masks and scarves as protection against Covid-19 and it is expected that fashionable masks will be the must have accessory of the summer!

Below are some non-surgical masks to assist in the quest to prevent the spread of the virus but please note the proper use here.
